sbd5_avh for PTO

these last days I'm having quite enough troubles with my 1.54 PTO install...
the last one is a "Guadalcanal" mission not loading because I'm lacking this particular aircraft: sbd5_avh.
I have no idea where to get it: can one of you help me?

I UNDERSTAND YOUR HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THE SBD5 AIRCRAFTFOR ONE OF YOUR MISSIONS.

YOU WILL MOST LIKELY FIND IT IN ONE OF THE OTHER PTO MISSION PACKS WICH YOU CAN DOWNLOAD FROM SOH (OTHER MISSION PAGE). OR THEY WILL HAVE IT AT www.avhistory.org

I looked for PTO missions here by SOH but there's no one "including" airplanes and that's normal I think....
What I found here is a SBD5 beta model which suits my needs but still I wonder where could an AVH Dauntless be!
Sure I was not able to find at their site; maybe you can address me better!

Did you upgrade to 1.54 or just install 1.54?You can't just install 1.54 you have to have everything before it installed first.I'm pretty sure the SBD you're looking for is in the original install package.

PTO Aircraft

Would you please check your email. I sent the aircraft folder using the "Sendit"system this morning.

I am just on trial period and want to know if it works.
 
hi mel just downloaded your avh dauntless; thk u so much.
looking in my install I found the folder but with only the xpd file inside: no idea about what happened but for sure tha was also why in my install I could not fly escort missios....
so, in some way You, Talon where right!
I have to thk u also Talon; being u not allowed to ereceive private messages I had no chance until now to thk u for givin´me the right address where to get the Burma theatre of IL-2.

I will try again. If you can? Load it into your CFS3 and remember to load the pylons.

hi mel, here I am again!
Strang things are happening: last friday I found out I did have a folder called "3un sbd5" but with the xpd file only inside.
Once deleted I was able to fly escort missions, until that moment everytime I choose these kind of missions I got the message "mission cannot be loaded".
You can imagine how happy I was....but it lasted for a few moments indeed!
Yesterday I installed the file you sent me, with pylons and so on only to discover that the airplane showed up, flew, performed normally, but...I was NOT able to fly escort missions again, so frustrating!
In the meantime I had some other planes installed so I removed everything from guns, pylons, weapons and aircraft folder, involved shared files and dauntless as well, but to no avail; then I checked out EVERY airplane folder to look if I was lacking something and went through the whole list in the menu letting EVERY airplane show up.....some frustrating hours but again to no avail!
I do not know if this has someething to do with that particular airplane from avh but I think no, more probably there's something wrong in my install or more specifically, the file inside the main folder (or outside perhaps?) controlling the editing of default missions......
Do you know which one of the many is supposed to do so?
Any help welcome!

I've read your posts and see that you've had a few problems.:isadizzy:
The empty or corrupted SBD file explains why the mission didn't
load and I see is now fixed (thx to rcafmad).

What surprises me is that you say you flew an Escort mission....
Could it have been an Intercept mission?:kilroy:

The PTO Expansion went from an idea to a download in a very short
time with many expert people involved. It was intended as an Online
playground for multiplayer missions in the Pacific Theater as there
were so many aircraft already created for it.:USA-flag:

As such, a campaign for it was never created, and ALSO, I thought
the Escort missions in Quick Combat didn't work either! :sleep:
Free Flight, Dogfight, and Intercept missions worked okay, tho':jump:

Hi Firestorm, now you are saying me I can never play an escort mission, aren't you?
I was becoming crazy trying to let this quick mission work but....I can swear you that time I selected escort to b17's with zeroes attacking and that time only it worked, I cannot explain the reason why but it worked....
