Available now at Flightsim.com and Avsim.com: FS2004 Scenery Central Europe 1961.

This scenery package contains twelve airports in Germany, nine in the Netherlands, one in Luxembourg, three in Switzerland, and three in Austria, providing taxiways and details as they were at the beginning of the 1960's. Also includes the harbors of Rotterdam, Hamburg and Den Helder, all the lighthouses along the Dutch coast and some along the German coast, and the island of Helgoland, created from scratch. Although most of the airports of the package are for civil use, it also includes some Dutch military bases with AI and static aircraft. At many of the airports you will find moving crash tenders and at Amsterdam moving airport buses. Made as close as possible using available photos and information. The goal was to reflect something of the atmosphere and feel of that period, prior to the all-jet era of today. By Wolfgang Gersch, Harry Biard, Michael Schneider, Jaap de Baare, Nikko Yaginuma, Tom Gibson, Bernard Leuenberger and Mike Stevens.

Cheers,
Maarten

Thanks for the heads up Maarten! That's one large collection of airfields and as I've been working on my Europe of the 1960s, it's perfectly timed.

Thanks, Maarten, for this HU!

I see Tom Gibson's name in the author's/contributor's list. Right now I've got everything CalClassics offers on the 1960s in my flightsim, and I'm wondering if any of these new additions will conflict in any way with what CC offers re: 1960s European scenery.

Hi,

this pack is a consolidation and expansion of previous sceneries of that area. Most of the airfields are new, but some are updates or replacements of previous airfields, such as Amsterdam or Munich. You may want to uncheck/remove the corresponding old scenery when installing the new one. It should not affect the rest of the CalClassic scenery, in fact it uses some of the resources, particularly the Static Objects Library.

Best regards,
Volker

Hi,

The text file gives a listing of the old CalClassic sceneries that should be unchecked/removed while installing this package. They have already been removed from the CalClassic Scenery pages.

OK, I'll pull the old stuff and install these instead. Looks like some great places to take the FGL, RCAF and Belgian F-104s not to mention the other cold war stuff I've got - plus of course the prop traffic as well!:salute:

Great timing gents, as I'm part way through a reinstall and was working on my 'Calclassic' install. Another wonderful addition. :salute:

Speaking of reinstalls etc, is there anyway to make the system set up separate folders in My Documents for saved flights etc? For example, CalClassic Seattle has a shorter runway than the default, but if I save my default flight so it's right for CC Seattle I'm halfway down the runway in the default version; my Golden Wings install has it's own folder (presumably the installer sorted that) so it must be doable.
