Scenery disappearing under certain angles P3Dv3.2

I have posted this in LM forums, FSDeveloper and ORBX forums but got no reply so far so though that maybe some good soul here might have a suggestion.

This issue concerns a custom scenery of my home airport LGTT, Tatoi AB, that I made back in 2010. I recently updated it mainly for P3D but also to make it fit better with ORBX Global + Vector + OpenLC EU, which is the best combination so far for my country. Everything works great in FSXA, FSXSE and P3D 2.5. and used to work in 3.1. However, in 3.2 I have the problem that is shown on the following video:

As you can see all the airport disappears under certain angles, mainly low angle and when looking north. All is OK when looking south. The LC polygons I have defined remain visible. ORBX Global, Vector and OPENLC EU are active. The strange thing is this: I tried deactivating the ORBX libraries entry in the scenery library and the problem went away.

Again, the problem exists only in P3D 3.2, all other sims are fine.

The scenery is made mainly with ADE and using the FSX SDK. Do you think recompiling using the latest P3D v3 SDK would help?

That's strange, do you have Orbx Vector installed, and if so have you run the airport elevation tool?

Thanks Ian. I do have vector but the elevation tool is not to be used here as this is my own airport and I have created the elevation myself as well as many flatten polys to make the surrounding area smooth. This is not an elevation issue, I think. The default airport was misplaced and I have applied excludes to hide it and rebuild it. As said, all is fine in all sims up to P3D 3.1. Only 3.2 does not cooperate.

I'm having some anomalies in 3.2 with buildings disappearing and texture flickering when viewed at low angles, but not entire sections of scenery.

I'm sure you have your ORBX libs up to date but I don't think this is behind your issue. If this is only in 3.2 I'll assume that this is related to the Dynamic Reflections cameras. Have you disabled DR and tried the same views with ORBX libs enabled?

The scenery behaves as though you might have the "stacking" of your add on scenery arranged that in an order where one will overwrite the ones below.

Also, when constructing your airport did you put a specific exclude in for airport backgrounds?

Those are my most obvious questions from seeing the behavior in your video. Very curious and I have never seen this before.

3.2 is definitely showing some odd behavior that will need to be considered when building scenery. It's a new learning curve.

Thank you gman. ORBX libs are up to date, DR does not make a difference. Exclude for airport backgrounds exists. The airport is stacked above ORBX entries in the library. Someone at Avsim suggested it may have something to do with the number of objects being rendered, especially a large number of the same object being called several times. Truth is that I have a grass object I use on the edges of the taxiways that is called many times in this scenery. I'll try deleting or reducing those and see if it helps.

After quite some time a solution was found by a good friend Loukas Kouros. If the scenery is lower than the ORBX libraries in priority in the scenery library the problem goes away. Can't say why but wished to share just in case it helps others.

Im building my hometown airport and have experience the same thing happening. Ill try your solution. thanks for posting
