Scenery Lobotomy Question

aeromed202

SOH-CM-2014
I have for some time had problems in the SF Bay area. Anywhere within 100 miles or so after a minute or so the landscape will blink once or twice and it will lose all detail, a-la-FS4. If I can wait it out things will slooowly comeback. It will often happen again if I switch views or aircraft. I suspect some conflict amongst a less than orderly scenery file aggregation.
My question is this.. can I temporarily move all files from the Addon Scenery/Scenery, and the Scenery/World/Scenery (those I have added) in turn and one by one put things back to try and find the culprit?
Sounds tedious but I don't relish a re-install of everything. Would doing this harm FS?

Thanks all.

Best to do it from within the sim, disable one by one.
It's extremely tedious involving restarts each time.
My guess would be rogue library objects.
If you have any scenery addons using EZ or similar object libraries, disable them first and see.
