Hallo friends,
since some time I have problems when aproaching Munich area (in germany).
I have a fsgw3 installation.
I did a new trial when I installed the new Munich-Riem scenery.
But when I choose it as starting point - before the scenery begins to load - black screen
and after a certain time the crash message. I looked to see why my sim crashes and found something that is g3d.dll as reason.
Pease is there a possibility to resolve this problem?
I have found no other visible munich scenery active.

Hallo friends,
I forgot perhaps some info about this dll.
it is version;: 9.1.0.40901 from 09.03.2013 04:26
Is there a newer version for fs2004 avaible?

Papi,

In all my current FS9 installs I have version 9.1.0.40901 installed with a size of 476 kB and dated 1-9-2004 04:46. When I fly from or to the new Munich-Riem scenery installed and have no problems.

So I have exactly the same version as you have, however saved at an earlier date (Most likely the original version by MS, done when FS2004 was released.)

Papi...

Look here https://adventure-unlimited.org/faultfinding.php

Don't think theres a newer .dll, IIRC it comes with directX

Good find Pete. In the Steam version of FSX install I have a newer and larger version. Its version 10.0.626.15 so your assumption that it came with DirectX might be right. However in the properties of the file its specifically mentioned that it is for the 2015 version of FSX (that must be the Dovetail version).

Hi Papi,
It's possibly your graphic card driver(s) that is the problem (Don't just update them as it may need an older version to run correctly, Fs9 is 17+ years old!). There may be something else that's installed that it doesn't like, and so crashes.

You must have several installs of Fs9, try installing Ian's Munich-Riem scenery in another install and see if it crashes in the same area. Then remove Ian's scenery and see again.

I always keep a completely vanilla standard Fs9 copy installed for any trials, then remove the trial item afterwards.

Cheers
