This apparently just released, if your an eye candy junky like me...

"12/16/08: At long last we can announce the release of the next installment in our line of landclass products-- Indo-Pacific Landclass v1.0. This region covers the continent of Australia as well as New Zealand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and numerous islands inbetween. Comparison screenshots can be seen on the comparison screenshots page. This product is being sold in our lowest price bracket so far: $14.95.
Indo-Pacific Landclass v1.0 can be purchased from the Indo-Pacific Landclass page. This leaves one more landclass in the pipeline--Africa. We hope to have more news on this final landclass product in the coming months."

Check their website for more details. http://www.scenerytech.com/

Hi there,

I wonder how well, if at all this would work with Orbx's stuff.

No compatibility issues at all. Just keep the SceneryTech entry in the scenery library menu below the ORBX/FTX entries and you'll have FTX land class and textures within their coverage areas and SceneryTech land class and default textures in the remaining Indo-Pacific areas.

Cheers, Holger

P.S.: Actually, there's one thing: I remember that some of the other SceneryTech products give an option to also change some slope-dependent land class calls. I don't know if that option exists for their Indo-Pacific add-on but if you want to use that (it asks you about that in the auto-installer menu) then make sure that you do an FTX Mode OFF first.

In general, remember the main rule for installing any kind of landscape or autogen add-ons: turn FTX Mode OFF before doing so and no harm can be done to your FTX installation.

That's exactly why I spend a bit more time exploring South America now since they released their lc for it a few months back. These landclass upgrades add just enough variety to keep it interesting.
