There was a scenery tool for FS9, that you could put hangers in at a airport of your liking. I had this, but had a HD failure and lost everything I had, 3 years of work, repaints, and planes and payware
This was 5-6 years ago. Wouls like to find this again to put my personal hangers at my home airport. Can anyone help ?

Airport Design Editor? ADE9 has the ability to place any number of scenery items while making an AFCAD for pretty much any airport. Hope this helps.

I do have it somewhere..
It's not ADE. It I recall, it comes from Eaglesoft(?) or something like that. It gives you a crosshair that lets you drop in a hanger wherever you want.
I'll try find it amongst my 'library'

Aeromed202 is on the Money - ADE9 does practically everything - will load up any scenery object you wish to place, fast and accurately.

Found it...
Eaglesoft FBO & Hanger Scenery Kit v1.0
by: Fr. Bill Leaming, - Eaglesoft Development Group

This is a freeware scenery installation kit that will allow you to place the Eaglesoft FBO Office & Hanger anywhere in the world, and as often as you have patience for! The hanger door is animated and will open/close by dialing 112.00 on the NAV2 radio! You may also easily customize the signs with your own "company name" if you wish.

That sure sounds like ADE9X.

There is also Object Manager, a stand alone part of ADE9X that only does the object placement function, but it lacks the precision placement tool (that red X) of the full ADE9X program. I don't even know if Object Manager is still available by itself.

They're both freeware from Scruffy Duck.

I seem to recall reading something about an object placement program from Eaglesoft. But that's a payware publisher, isn't it?

There's also something called EZ Scenery. That's payware too, and from what I've seen of scenery made from it, it's not any better than any of the others.

I don't know if any of the payware programs are as versatile and easy to use as ADE9X. And it's free.

Funny you should mention Object Manager, Mick; I used it for years. :)

If you're now in ADE9X, you're in one AWESOME scenery design tool - excellent support by Scruffyduck and team also, at FSDeveloper. The user manual is one of the clearest, in-depth manuals I've ever had the joy of reading.
It's great for laying down custom ground textures, and if you go FSX, you can create landclass/waterclass polys too.

I used Object Manager for years too, and still do for some jobs. But ADE9X has me spoiled with how it shows the footprint of the object and lets you move it around and about with your mouse. And for most purposes I like how it lets you make an AFCAD file with solid objects incorporated into it, plus flattens and excludes. Pretty nifty!

I don't have FSX, so I still use EZ Landclass for landclass files. It will make waterclass files too, though I haven't been able to figure out how to do that yet.

I agree about the manual, but I don't have the patience to make much use of it. Only when I'm stumped!

I really don't do much with scenery. I've made a few simple airports from scratch, but mostly I've just dressed up existing airports with buildings and static aircraft, and backdated some airports from 2004 to the classic era or golden age years.

If I may, there is another object placement tool that's quite handy, and has tons of objects. It's called Runway12 Object Placer. I've had it for a long time, since quite a few freeware scenery's I have require it's object library. Really nice, although the installation can be a little confusing. Was for me, anyway, although so is opening a soda can or ziplock baggie... :dizzy:

Just my 2 pfennigs worth...
Pat☺
