Screen Resolution Issues

To All,

I have installed CFS2 on an older laptop that I received from my nephew.

In case it matters, I am running Windows XP on an Alienware M9700 and in its day it was a serious gaming rig.

For some reason, I cannot seem to get the screen resolution to effectively change.

I have selected the highest resolution (1440 x 900) and (1024 x 768) but there is no difference and from the cockpit view all seems 'wide'ish looking.

If I do "ALT" + "Enter" and fly in Windowed Mode (vs Full Screen mode) I can shrink the screen manually to wear it looks better, but as soon as I leave the game and come back, I have to do the process all over again.

Can someone offer any advice?

Thank you.
