Screenshots, is there a way to save as .jpeg and not the default .bmp format?

The other day when I was in the game i clicked set up or settings and I'm quite sure I saw an option to change the default .bmp saving to a .jpeg format, but now I can't see it at all? Is it me thats just dreaming or is there such a thing?
cheers

...that would be cool... I always just crop and convert, crop and convert ('till the cows come home to perch... no wait, that wus me low flying ducks... grazing 'till the cows start waddling(?), aw, skip it!)
...but just y'all wait 'till I gets me CFS3 pc back online... there'll be such a pent-up rush 'a screenies like the woild t'ain't never knowed... :p:

If not, you could just use edit to convert it to Jpeg.

1)RClick on picture
2)select "Edit"
3)Select "Edit" (upper left hand corner drop down menu)
4)Select "Save As"
5)Change file name on upper-bottom of window
6)Change to JPeg on lower-bottom of window
Save it and it's all yours :mixedsmi:

A short way to fire up mspaint. I have been doing it the traditional way by firing up paint then browsing to the pic, opening and re-saving. This is much quicker:running:

Thanks

I use "Paint.net" to convert my screenshots..
It works very well..
Just google Paint.net and you can get this free..

There's a very nice freeware screenshot program out called Snapper. It runs outside of your sim/game and takes screenshots as fast as you can press the hot key (I keep mine set to take captures with the Print Screen button). Snapper saves the screenshots as full screen jpg files in a folder you designate. I use Snapper for CFS2, FS9 and FSX screenshots. You can get it here:

I haven't tried Snapper with CFS3, but it should work just fine. It's worked with every sim and game I have tried it with....it even takes screen captures from streaming movies that I watch on my PC.
