I hope some one here can help with this problem.
I am almost positive its in an error i am making.

I have FSX with acceleration. And useing windows 7.
I am trying to move the U.S.S. saratoga to an area where i have an airport near, this area also has 2 oil rigs which are part on the scenery. This is all within a small cove off of Vancouver island.(The Pacific side)
I have been useing the SDK to change the cords for the new location, as per the instructions, but the ship does not appear their.
When i check the size it keeps showing 1 KB, according to the instructions it should be about 164KB.
This is the cords i am trying to change it to.

Latitude N48 degrees, 33.69'
Longitude W124 degrees 25.77'
altitude +1
Heading 36

any help would be greatly appreciated.

This may or may not be the problem. Some models are locked to a certain area. The only way you can use them elsewhere is to extract the model and put in a new library, then place it.

Thx for the tip.
The ship in question has a relocation file, and calls for the use of the sdk .

this is from the read me instructions.
RELOCATION INSTRUCTIONS: It is assumed you already have Bglcomp installed and have some idea how to use it. NOTE! You MUST use the Bglcomp program that comes with the FSX SDK's or it won'r work. The FS9 Bglcomp program does not handle the FSX style XML files. Fly or slew an airplane to your new desired location. Jot down the coordinates and the heading. Open the folder called Moving Files and copy the two entries right into the Bglcomp folder. Open the file called Ranger.xml with Notepad and change out the coordinates and heading for your new values. Note this must be done in two places, once for the model and once for the wake effect. Close the modified xml file. Drag and drop the xml file onto the Bglcomp.exe file. You should see a small black screen flash by and a new file called Ranger.bgl should appear. If it is about 163 kbytes in size, everything worked. If the .bgl file shows up with 0 bytes content it means there was a mistake in the syntax of the new coordinate or heading entries. Copy the new Ranger.bgl file into the FSX Addon Scenery>Scenery folder, overwriting the old one and you should be good to go at the new location.

Did you convert your DD/MM/SS Lat/Lon to pure decimal(48.561500, -124.429500)? I'm pretty sure that's necessary to be read properly.
I tried it and mine came out at 193kb(FSXA SDK)...Don
