Can anyone teel me the name of a WWI seaplane that was in the forums not long agao? I think it was a ,AustroHungarian plane called the LLoyd but am not sure.

I may be totally wrong

I might be totally wrong about the name and country, but I think it was a single engine flying boat ,very old ,had kind of a spindly appearence. If anyone remembers it and where I can find it I would be very grateful.

A hint

If anyone has the Adriatic 1914 1918 scenery ,I think they are in the backround.I need a plane to fly from there that looks the part.

I think this is what you are looking for, available at Flightsim ... textures for it

FS2004/FSX Lohner S "R1" And "S26". The Lohner "S" was a two seat training and reconnaissance flying boat produced by Lohner Werke for the Austrian-Hungarian Navy during WW1, powered by a 80 hp Oberursel rotary engine. It saw service mainly at the Adriatic Sea. Included in this package are two different repaints "R1" from 1916, and "S26" from 1918. Textures only for Craig Richardson's Lohner S. By Craig Richardson and Damian Radice.

And the main site for the aircraft download : http://www.classicwings.net/hanger/1903-1920_1.html

Cheers ! Mike :wavey:

got em

I have both the Lohner type M and type S, they are perfect for the Adriatic scenery I have, the only small flaw is on my computer there is a blue band the goes up and down with the waves at the bottom of the screen when in VC and sitting on the water ,it goes away as soon as you start the take off run.
It has to be the planes because I tried a different scenery and got the same blue band.
Not a big problem and I can live with it.
Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction, I think(I'd have to look it up) that LLoyed did make seaplanes for the Austra- Hungery air force in WWI.

What you're talking about is a glitch in FS. When you're sitting in the VC and any part of it is below the waterline, it will look like you're taking on water. depending on the model, you can sometimes see it in Spot view too.
