Search for B-24 for PTO Mission

I'm afraid old bean that mission is for Firepower owners, as this payware add-on has the only CFS3 B-24 (and it's a patch to the original add-on at that!). There are no Freeware B-24's at the present.

Hello BeauBrummie,

In that case is it possible to change the requested aircraft type in a mission?

If yes :
changing the "b-24" by the "new" aircraft "title" ? or "sim" ? found in the aircraft.cfg??

that's all?
Thanks in advance

:kilroy:Emile,

It's not only possible, that's what you do.

Simply open the mission xml file, in this case, FP_43_0213_Shortland_01_B-24_Shipping_Strike.xml with Notepad.

Look near the top, where it says Aircraft="b_24". This name is from the model name (in this case, b_24.M3D) of the aircraft used for the mission. Now simply change the b_24 part to the model name of another aircraft you would like to use. Just leave off the part of the model name that says .M3D (or .m3d, as the case may be). Make sure that you do not leave out the quotation marks from Aircraft="XXXXX".

You also have to check all the way down through the mission xml text and replace every entry of b_24 that is in quotes.

I hope this helps.:d
