Ok, so I'm driving north on I-5 from the Seattle airport (KSEA) today, on my way to NAS Whidbey Island, and guess what I saw... A yellow DH Beaver, on floats! I think it was some sort of temporal space-time FSX-IRL rift. I wanted to follow it and see if the pilot looked like a scary looking low-poly droid... :d
 
Kenmore is based in the Seattle area, so it certainly could be!

I was on the Spirit of Portland a few months ago and saw an absolutely beautiful Beaver in floats moored to a dock about 8 or so miles upriver from downtown. The thing was stunningly beautiful. Everyone on the boat was partying, and I was hanging over the rails on the top of the ship drooling on anyone unlucky enough to be below me!
 
Yep, Kenmore Air is definately a good possibility. It was just a funny experience for me, since I was in Seattle, the "home airport" of FS (9 and X), and saw a "default FSX" airplane, in the same colors!
 
Way back in 1994, I transferred with VQ-1 from Guam to NAS Whidbey. The last flight to Whidbey Island was in a twin turbo prop aircraft. I believe it was a subsidiary of Alaska Airlines.; possibly Horizon Air? Can anyone confirm what aircraft were used to fly folks to Whidbey to Wes Lupiens airport? Thanks.

NC, Horizon Air operates a huge fleet of de Havilland Dash 8's -- could have been that. I can't even count how many times a day I see one of their dashes fly overhead here in Portland.
 
Ah memories.

After FanCon in Bellevue... Arno Gerretson, Misho Katulic and myself drove over to Lake Washington.
WooHoo! Kenmore Air! Checked the schedule... dropped over to a restaurant on the lake while waiting and downing some beer.

Went back and took a scenic flight around Seattle... weather was lousy... enough to where they warned us about a bumpy trip.

Still remember that taxi up the lake and then takeoff...... words are at a loss.

Even better to experience with fellow FS designers and fans... we all had the same thoughts LOL! Will find some pics to post.

Its sorta funny, that I think Renton was more of the official airport at the office when I worked at Aces, since most of the guys on the team flew out from there. Even one guy on our team was a pilot for Kenmore! God I miss working at M$.. I digress....
 
Remember, Harrison Ford has one.. So if you see Han Solo in a Beaver, you may not be hallucinating.

The aircraft was definitely smaller than a Dash 8. NC
 
Kenmore, located at the NE corner of lake Washington has been rebuilding beavers for something like 40 years. The Cub Crafters of Beavers. My sister lives in nearby Bothel, the only city in Washjington in which the "R" s silent.

Many Beavers parked where I keep my plane here in Fairbanks, but unfortunatly many are parked without work and will remain sitting lonely, on their wheels.

A great airplane, but heavily loaded they can take a mile or two to get off the water....
