Second Set of Optional Files for Wulfmann's Battle of Britain Missions available now!

A second set of Optional Files for Wulfmann's Battle of Britain Missionset is now available for download on my website fouteman-goes-cfs3.tk

The set contains new virtual cockpits for the ETO_Spit_I_RNN, ETO_Spit_MkIa, ETO_Spit_MkIb and ETO_Spit_Tuck and some shared files.

The set is kindly provided by Pat Pattle, who also helped Bob finetune the missions....And I can do it here, because on some other sites there's no Beer smily)

you guys!!!!.......this is extraordinary....such a pleasure to see life breathed into this body of work. Wulfmann's BoB was always great...something unpleasant happened around MAW and now his stuff is back looking better than ever.........Pattles pits and fields....spawns working perfectly...the eye candy is out of sight.....so great to see old friends alive and buffed beyond all recognition....NICE WORK!!!! THANK YOU...and that's only after three missions....each of which I had to fly 3 times to survive. Cheers.....:ernae:..GAW and I NEVER use smilies Foute....include a link pls
 
Foute....Pattles add-ons install easily...however....your 110 standalones comes down corrupted....tried twice....same result....hope it's my end....keep up the BEAUTIFUL work please...it's great stuff!

Hi Fouteman,

I have updated Clive's set of VC files, they have been hex edited to call for the correct spit skins in stock ETO. also you will need the new xdp files for each of these planes to use the VC files above, I also have updated flight model files for the spit Mk1's.

there is a new view eye-point setting that alters the gun sight alignment.
I had to alter the weapon pitch values for each plane, to get the tracer stream and gun sight to line up correctly.
(each planes weapons pitch setting is individual, i.e its not the same numebr for every spitfire MkI model variation we have in game)

these will be in ETO 1.3 update as well.

I have sent Clive a note, and will put them onto our FTP site for Clive to get them across to you.

About Hurricane flight model: I really don't like the AvH V4.0 one so in my install, I've replaced it by the previous AvH FM which I find much better.

No Pat,I sure dont! The only reason right now I dont have ETO is because
last time I tried to install, it wouldnt work because of some missing file, and
now I've got this big paranoia of having to go through all that mess again of getting it on and having to pull it all out again!

One of these days I'll have to try it again after I get my newer 'puter' back.
Its got the bigger hard drive anyway.

I'm assuming here that I have to have ETO to get those?

Hi Wyld45,

If you dont have ETO here are some of the Bomber VC's your missing.

Lancaster
Manchester (notocie only 2 sets of guages and controls)
Halifax

also someone was complaining about teh FM on the Halifaxs and Lancs in tight turns.

if you fly on anything but hard settings this will happen. If you fly on hard settings you can turn as steep as you like and then take your hands off the stick and if you have a enough hieght the plane will level itself out in a shallow dive.

these AvH FM are designed for hard settings only, anything less will comprimise the algorhythms which control the flight.

Great pics Rob.....got me to thinking too, For those having trouble with installing the ETO add-on, could we not do some ETO aircraft packs? These models are just too good not to. :)

Hi Clive,

sure mate we can package up whats required to get some aircraft into non ETO installs. some of the planes would be listed in the wrong country catergory as they would not have the ETO NEK set installed but other than that they would work.

would require the:
aircraft (in question)

then a once off download of the following folders:
weapons
guns
pylons
effects, fxtexture

and the last one being the Effects xml.
