FS2002 North American F-86 D Sabre. The first XP-86 prototype flew on 1 October 1947, powered by a 3750 pound thrust GE J35 engine. After it was re-engined with a more powerful GE J47 turbojet the following spring, it was redesignated the YP-86A, and exceeded the speed of sound in a shallow dive. This model is fully animated with clear opening canopy, stearable nose wheel, rolling wheels, reflective textures, vc detailed pilot figure, spoilers, smoke system with contrails and FS2002 lights. In 1944, North American Aviation submitted a design for a swept-wing day fighter which could also be used as a dive-bomber or escort fighter, as a result, they designed the F86 (in different variations) which was named "Sabre", a name now associated with this aircraft around the world.
