SectionF8 RCAF repaints

Hi,

With the "Great White North" living up to it's name, I've had some extra time on my hands. With "Wild Bill Kelso's" kind permission I'll be packaging these repaints up and uploading to the Outhouse and Avsim over the next few days.
Each package will have both the 1955-1960 AB+3 textures (as shown) and alternate 1960 and up RCAF+3 textures. Hopefully the skies over Europe will start to get a little more crowded.

Thanks Walt. I was hoping to upload the 439 Squadron repaint tonight, but I've forgotten my upload password (Duh!) As soon as the staff sends me another one it's all ready to go.
 
Ain't snow a wonderful thing, Klarm?... those look absolutely first-class:applause:!

Incidentally, I heard that it's the first time since 1954 that our entire 'Great White North' has been solid white from coast to coast to coast for Christmas...

my corner of London YXU wasnt very white for christmas but it was (and slippery) for new years... brantford was another story :faint:

Glad to see my camo in such good hands!

Seems like the maple leaf paint on the pilot's helmet (kind of 'easter egg' I allowed to hide) was worn by some more squadrons but 434th... :d

Ha! you caught me on the helmet Markus. I was going to change it for a tiger striped version but I couldn't find any photos of aircrew wearing one (although I'm sure SOMEONE did!)

2nd repaint uploaded to AVSIM, No.444 "Cobra" Squadron. This Sabre can be seen at the Canada Aviation Museum in Rockcliff, Ontario.

Ya, I know it's a not actually parked outside, but it was a photo op I couldn't turn down

just out of curiosity, do you have any golden hawks/ bare metal schemes in mind?
 
I thought about a few metal schemes but the majority of them were on MK2's and Mk5's. I have a couple metal versions I could do, I always liked the 414 "Black Knights".
I've got most of the cammo repaints I'd planned finished, I'm just packaging them up and it's supposed to snow again.....

The only other bare metal RCAF I know of is the one in the skins pack that Section F8 released shortly after the base pack. Like you, I'm grateful for any RCAF repaints that may yet come ... :applause:

Your latest has yet to be posted up on AVSIM but will grab 'Cecil-the-Snake' as soon as it appears.

can you please put your repaints on your SOH File too ?
or FlightSim.Com too ?

AvSim download do not work for me !

If fact AvSim download really "sucks" and their research tool is
crappy !

Forget the red warning AvSim have put about downloading with
"Explorer" I have tried everything I know about downlaoding
and it did not work too ! And I am registered to AvSim for many
years.

Please , Please, Please !!!!!
forget AvSim and go to SOH and FlightSim.

I received my new upload password (Thanks Douglas) so I'll start uploading here them here today...just looked out my window, I think I'll be hanging around my computer for a while. :typing:
 
Ok Gents,

No.416, 421, 439 and 444 Squadron repaints have been uploaded to the library here.
The RCAF had 12 squadrons in France and Germany, I've uploaded 4, have 3 to package up and 5 to paint....but first I have to shovel the driveway, again!

Delta_Lima and PhilRamone - I found some Mk5's retrofitted with the Mk6 wings, so I'll get a couple natural metal paints out as soon as I can.
 
Another repaint for the SectionF8 sabre, No.430 "Silver Falcon" Squadron uploaded to the Outhouse and AVSIM today.
 
Whoa.. there Klarm!!
Your repaints are coming so fast and furious that "my-cup-over-floweth!!"..I know these are 'freeware' but you're
still going to cost me money. Have to go out and pick up some additional HD space to 'hanger' all these great RCAF
birds. No complaints mind you....just keep them rolling them out onto the tarmac...they 'make-my-day'!
Your efforts are certainly appreciated by this old-timer.

Thanks Guys, It's easy once you've got a template made. Wild bill's repaint gave me a great point to start from.

I have to admit though, the cammo colours are all starting to look the same. So next up is a natural metal No.401 "Ram" Squadron...
