Seeking Fire Drop Effect

I found a nice FX effect for a red fire retardant that was made for the Team FS KBT's Lockheed/Kawasaki P3-C Orion. ...and had to re install and now can't locate it on Flightsim,, Avsim library seems down again for some reason.

Does anyone have this effect or know where to get it? i would appreciate it if anyone has any info.

thanks.

CrisGer;
Try this file: p3a_w_fx.zip located at FlightSim.com, this maybe the one you're looking for.

RL that is it! Exactly the one i was looking for!

I am making a scenery for some of the bad fires in Santa Barbara recently and wanted to get the right effects as much as possible.

Now i just need some really good dense wildfire smoke effects and we are in businesss. thanks again soooo very much.!

and thank you Sid for that suggestion about the site, i joined up and found they had a great retardeant effect and a tutorial on how to use it plus a good suggestoin for FS Blaze on the Freeflow site for fire effects. thanks for that great suggesition.

Just so you guys know... Setting the water drop as a "smoke" effect in the aircraft cfg has a conflict with most of the fire and smoke effects in FS. For some reason, FS Blaze (and other fire scenery) seems to prevent the Aircraft smoke system to show in FS. Perhaps making the water drop part of the "lights" section of the cfg would work. Something not usualy used like the wing or logo lights.

ah that is good to know.

I will experiment, i wonder why that happens and or why ppl suggest making the drop effect in a way that conflicts with the fire effects themselves.... I dont mind the lights doing odd things when i drop if the drop itself is effective and shown. thanks a lot for this heads up much appreciated.

And btw, i have the complete series of Firefly, short as it sadly was. What a wonderful show. :) enjoyed seeing that quote from the theme in your sig Brian. One of the best shows in any genre yet.

I don't know why there is a conflict between the smoke of the fire and the water/retardant either. If you get too near the smoke the retardant wont deploy until you've gone through and then it unexpectedly drops. I've never tried assigning the smoke to a light activation. It's something to think about for sure and see if it will work. You'd probably have to make an xml gauge to activate the event, too.
In the past, my work-around has been to insert some fires, without the smoke, nearby the ones with smoke boiling skyward and then concentrate my fire fighting efforts to just those spots. At least you get the "feel" of the moment.
