Shadows - Terrain

Terrain shadows ticked to receive causes large rectangular shadows of what I assume are clouds? Since the hotfix...known issue? I backed up the DLL's but after reverting to the old ones I the issues is still persisting? Any ideas?

I'll post a screen shot later aft et F work to show what I mean if it's not clear. ..
 
It's possible that this is a missing texture issue. You'd see similar effects (literally) when there is a missing texture for an effect. . .like a nav lite that has a square box where the light effect should be or dust that appears when you land on dirt and it's rectangles rather than billowy smoke clouds. Anything that you've done recently that would have effected textures?
 
Ed's probably right but I seem to remember there being an option for cloud shadows in the cfg. Some one tried it but the effect was not good.
 
I go with what Roger says, lol. I also see the same problem. I don't have shadows ticked so I never noticed it before.
 
That's exactly my problem. ..so no screen shot needed from me! Hmmm..nothing editing textures so I'm at a loss...

Just speaking with Bill (WND) on Teamspeak and he seems to remember that this problem was connected to autogen/mesh settings being too high (possibly). Might give that a look.
 
If you just want to remove cloud shadows, go into your P3D cfg and change the line (something like) cloud_shadows=1 to =0
 
Thanks gents. I'll give that a try. I do recall having set mesh to 2m. Perhaps I should give a lower setting a go. I noticed with my recent install of PNW orbx, only parts of the large rectangles are now bisible, and thinking about it now I seem to recall I should have orbx sceneries set to 5m?
