A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - Japanese

Description: Mitsubishi ki15/C5M Babs Skinpack by UncleTgt

This is a collection of repaints for the revamp of the Metal Dreams ki15 Babs by Shessi for CFS 2.

Included are modified dp files (MISC DATA changed to kph, gun data changed for AI performance)
mods (to allow centreline droptank for C5M versions). Further airfile mods are required to model the further increase in speed & range of the later versions.

I've also added a set of panel bitmaps recoloured in Interior Blue.

The textures are:

ki15-I
18 Hikotai, China 1939
50th Independent Chutai, DEC 1941
18 HQ Recon, Japan 1943

ki15-II
8 Sentai, Burma 1942
unknown unit, DEI 1945

C5M1
unknown unit, DEC 1941

C5M2
3 Kokutai, East Timor, March 1942
unknown unit, Japan 1945

The ki15-II had a more powerful engine in a narrower cowling.
The C5M1 was the IJN version of the ki15-II. The IJN never used the ki15-I.
The C5M2 was a further uprated version of the C5M1 with a 3 bladed propeller.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary location & move/ copy files to the matching folder names inside your chosen CFS 2 install.

Shessi for his undoubted skill in re-engineering older aircraft models to give them a new lease of life in the old sim.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.

Great work there, like the choice, scrubs up well for a 15 year old bird, doesn't she....

I like this taking tired, lacking ac re-vamping them mdl wise, and throwing on some new clothes.

Sorry guys I forgot to include the dp files & air file for the droptank. The original zip has now been updated. For those that have already downloaded, here is the air & dp files as a separate zip:-

The mapping limitations & distortion forced quite a few compromises with the repaints, so you'll forgive me if the markings are not quite historical...
