Shockwave landing lights have twirling blocks

Upon reinstalling the Shockwave landing lights into the effects folder I discovered they are displaying intensely bright landing lights (as I expected) that are composed in part of large square blocks of light that twirl around the axis of the direction the light is pointed. How do you get around this problem?

Sounds like a bad/corrupt install to me or one of the texture files did not copy over at all. I would try un-installing and re-installing to see if that cures the issue.

ALso, if you are running the Shockwave 3D Lights on an older or slower computer with an older monitor, this may distort the landing lights.

Looked up the original install package on a thumb drive and did a reinstall. Looks like the problems seem to have calmed down, at least on the aircraft I've dealt with so far.

I found the update 1.2 but after reading a complaint from someone who installed it I'm not sure I want to do that. 1.2a sounds a little more promising, if I can find it.
