Will some kind soul post a few screenies that show the difference between Shockwave nav lights and FS-stock nav. lights in FS9?

Pix which contrast them in full daylight and again at twilight would be ideal.

Thanks!

Thanks DD, but that doesn't do it for me. Precisely because I had gone to that site last night is the reason I'm asking for a direct on-the-same-page comparison. Apart from the very white landing lights, I don't see what the big deal is about Shockwave. I fly mostly classics that did not have xenon lighting and strobes. However, many stock nav lights appear grotesque, so if Shockwave can fix that, I'd be interested.

Hawkeye52, A few weeks back, maybe longer, there was a thread about aircraft lights and some freeware available. I downloaded it and am liking what I see. For one thing, the landing lights don't shine from one end of the runway and from one side to the other. The Cessna 140 I fly on the sim almost exactly duplicates the landing light on one I fly in reality. Stay tuned.....I'm confident whoever the author of that thread will show up momentarily with the scoup...

Let me de-shockwave a few of my planes so I can get some screen shots of them without the Shockwave lights, then put the Shockwave lights back on and take shots of them again.

The Shockwave lights package has tons of light options, there are landing lights in single and double configuration, landing lights for older planes that are not as white or bright (more yellowy like those old lights were back in the day). All kinds of strobes and beacons to choose from. I honestly have never taken the time to sample each of the light effects...I usually just go for the quickest and easiest route to add the Shockwave lights to my planes.

Give me a couple days or so on the screen shots....have some errands to run this afternoon, more tomorrow, and I have to deshockwave a few of my planes.

What is one of the vintage planes that you use a lot...a freeware one that is easily downloadable from the major sites. Best to give you a look at your fave vintage bird with stock lights and with a Shockwave set up.

Yo, Tim...don't go to more trouble than necessary; make it easy for yourself.
Use any stock MS a/c: C-182, Baron, whatever.

And thanks again!
