Shoreline and sea question

Pat Pattle

SOH-CM-2025
Could someone point me in the right direction please, I've been looking for the shoreline texture - I know it's there somewhere as I've seen it before but blowed if I can find it!

Also the sea..is this hard coded - the animation I mean or is there an m3d for it? I was wondering if it were possible to make it more reflective/shiney.

Thanks, Pat :wavey:

Isn't the shininess determined in the masses of dds files somewhere? Far from sure, but there has to be some reason why there are so many... Not my field, I know...

Missing shorelines..

are in the CAB8 file on the second disc. The files cfs3hyl and cfs3msh2 (with their zx's)
go in the terrains2 folder in the game. My new copy of CFS3 seems to miss loading these files.

I am totally in awe with that Beech 18. Thank-you Mr. Morley and Milton Shupe!

Yes, I beleive it is in a zip folder in the CFS3 directory, but the name escapes me. I'm kinda in school right now...:kilroy: Sorry I can't help more.

Thanks guys. Bob Park has come to my rescue. :)

After having had a good look through the various .dds I have no idea how the shine is added, will persevere!

Talking of shine, Clive, have you seen how the Spit MkI's forward cowling is shinier than the rest of the fuselage? Just remembered. Must be a separate mesh.
