How do I turn off that dratted beep beep tone in the cockpit? Sounds like alarm clock set off. And the windshield wiper are on (I don't know how that happened) I want to turn them off.

Thanks to anyone that can help.
 
The only beeping I'm aware of is from the ADF. Either turn it off or switch to another frequency. I believe this is being discussed at Sibwings forum, as the volume control is not functional.

As for the wipers, the switches are to the immediate left of the pilot seat. When I first installed the An-2 I attempted to start with Ctrl-E. Not only did that not work, but it turned on all kinds of things like the wipers and fans. Best to follow the manual.
 
That sound may also be the radio altimeter alarm. There's a big black rotating switch at the front of the lower left console. Wipers and fan are controlled by the row of switches at the back of the lower left console. Sometimes, it really helps to ****:p:.
 
No, no, Lawman has right - its a radio altimeter alarm signal. You can set up a level or turn on / off by knob (left console) or switchboard on front panel (the first switchboard from right on the top line - center console, front panel).

Which one of these switches might it be? I can also autostart (like CTRL+E) if you select the glider and then the AN2 it will be running at any airport of my choice.

Assuming the sound you're hearing is indeed the radio altimeter and not the ADF morse code identifier sound - in the image you attached, the radio altimeter switch is switch #25 - labeled as 'Radioaltimeter indicator'. This will switch off the RA completely, and stop the beeping.
 
The switch I'm referring to is number 129 in the manual. It's not on the main panel, but the console on the left side wall. The leftmost position kills the sound.

It's not morse code beeps more like alarm clock beep. Steady Beeps. But as of late it has stopped. Good to know if that happens again. Thanks.
 
If I start the AN-2 from any other aircraft and not as the first aircraft after FSX loads with the default Cessna, I get all the switches jumbled around, the wipers wiping and that Radar altimeter warning. If I start the plane from a fresh start of FSX from the default aircraft all the switches are correct and the blaring klaxon is not blaring. That may be your problem also

BINGO!!! That first picture of the Radar alt switch; When I start from cold if that switch is flipped up then I get that beep, down and it goes away...

Well, it looks like you went through a lot of trouble doing things in reverse, LOL :salute:

What I mean is that when you start the aircraft with Ctrl-E, it turns a lot of stuff on that you have to shut off.

If you follow the actual startup procedure from the manual, these things are left off by default. :icon_eek:

Sure, it's one way to learn where everything is in the cockpit. But then again....

Glad you got things sorted out.

Thing is I didn't start it in CTRL + E. As you know FSX will offer that Glider (Default) and when that happens, I select the AN2 and another airport and the AN2 will already be fully
running ready to fly. About the only thing I check for is full engine cowl is cracked full open and take off (don't want smokies) . I have done the cold start after I read the manual and there are legions
of switches there (there are switches to turn on switches :icon_lol:) just kidding there, but I get about 95% there when I go for a cold start and get lucky and the thing turns over.


Issue now is now GPS panel showing up with the SHIFT + 2 keys depressed, just a tinge of a square box in lower right hand corner of screen then nothing no GPS. I have to use the
default map as a GPS.
