I know this has probably been asked before, but is it possible to convert FSX aircraft to fly in CFS2, I have seen some cracking freeware vintage aircraft Iwould love to try out in combat.

I haven't seen any FSX aircraft converted yet. I think it may be a bridge too far now.

FS 7 and 8 aircraft ported over quite easily. FS 9 aircraft could be quite finicky and FSX aircraft...

As MS has advanced the coding on subsequent flight sims, the coding has become unintelligible to our 11 year old simulator.
