Red Bull........where did they come from???

Vettel is slaughtering the field:isadizzy:

They've been quick all season, but their car works better in colder weather while the Brawn seems to do better in warmer weather. And Vettel is an exceptional talent of course. ;)

Rest of the race was quite boring though; a shame as I think the track itself is a lot of fun to drive.

yeah...i'm watching the delayed broadcast on Fox....but it looks like Red Bull 1-2..
not a bad way to spend father's day...F1 early afternoon..NASCAR after that...
i wish Nascar would do the standing start at the road courses like F1...wouldn't that be a hoot.

Like China, a quick track. Red Bull has shown speed all year, when on a fast track, they seem as dominate as Brawn on standard circuits. Vettel is a champion, no doubt about it. Only 21 too. Good for Mark Webber too, sure would like to see him win one.

You mean you miss the Iowa IRL race at 1:00? :icon_lol: Going to see them in Richmond next Saturday night. For the record, Dario won.

Lots of daddy day racing! :ernae:

Don't worry Redriver, those dual-file starts and restarts will be interesting enough on a road course. :jump: I wish they would qualify on a road course like F-1. F-1 qualifying is more entertaining for me than the race.

yeah i just don't have any intrest in US open wheel anymore..unless its sprint car....or world of outlaws:icon_lol:

hey...i guess yer right...this will be the first road course where they do that....i guess i'm gonna have to abandon my Ambrose pick since he is starting at the rear....just don't see how he can overcome that.

Damn!, for some reason wasn't on TV here (BC) far as I can tell, yet they have shown every race up to now so far.

Best Grand Prix shot of all is headon as they enter Stowe, reminds me of Scalextric cars.
And boring? Noo! For a few minutes there, you had the reigning World Champion dicing unto death with a former World Champion for, was it, 17th place??

I also tried to overcome my prejudice about commentator Jonathan, and found I could not.
Even the producers are trying to dilute him by introducing Coulthard et al during the race.
He is bad for TV ratings and should rather do radio:
"There's Barrichello..."(as white and yellow car hoves into medium shot) "...coming through!" (Sure enough, there he is, driving down the road)

What amazes me is that so many people pay such obscene amounts of money to watch this pretty boring stuff.

I heard some years ago that taking the wife and two kids, with reasonable grandstand seats, will set you back around £1000. (oh, you get parking too for that.)

They must be nuts.

Being 'easy' on tyres is one of the Brawn strong points, but not good if the track temp is moderate.
RBR do have Adrian Newey and his work is really showing it's worth.
I had a laugh at the 'Jenson Button is very light on his tyres' line, Jimmy Clark could do four complete GP weekends in the Lotus 25 on one set (as in ONE set) of Dunlops way back.
:applause:
