Sim update 7

Aß long as they fix the freezing upon loading a flight and the CDS that came with the last update every further improvement is fine for me.

The easiest way to find out if it's on your system is to hit the Start key and then type dxdiag. The last line on the first tab shows the version installed.

What changes can we expect from a DX12 enabled MSFS??
T43

Supposedly more smoothness, stability and performance due to better communication between the different components of your machine and OS. But DX isn't the only denominator in these things. The code of the sim is the most important of all.

As usual it is "wait and see".

I really wish that when they had these updates there was an option to download later. It usually happens to me that, "great I finally have some free time to fly, <NAUGHTY WORD>!! I have to spend the next hour or so of my little bit of time downloading and installing an update.

So after the update my mouse clicks have absolutely no effect on the atc window in VR or any other such windows. It seems to be working fine everywhere else though. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
LouP

In the options section under assestance you can set the AI copilot to do all the talking. I like that, With apologizes to Ryan, I never cared much for talking to ATC. They always interupted me at a good passage in the book I was reading. ;)

Yep, it's a known issue, apparently in all headsets. Apparently it was even listed as a known issue by Asobo prior to the update, which is really annoying. I have the Rift S and am seeing the same. You cannot interact with any UI when in VR.

However, there is a workaround. Hit CTRL + 0 (zero). This will shift your view a little bit from the default cockpit view, but you can just use the move camera keys to readjust. You can now interact with all the UI, and the view looks pretty much the same in VR. I think on a monitor this view zooms right in. Not sure I haven't really checked it on a monitor.

I hope that this wasn't a required move to using the wands that come with our headsets. I really do not want to he having to hold that thing while flying in the sim! I'd much rather be using my mouse that is sitting there.
