• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Some more repaints. There are some nice paint schemes on their site but as the Safir was not too widely distributed around the world the schemes are limited. Like a number of post war low wing mono-planes it was based on the Me108 so maybe some Luftwaffe or Lufthansa style fictional paints. In the shot below it basques gloriously in a bare metal scheme:engel016:
The Safir is a beautifully constructed model but is rarely seen in screenshots perhaps due to the lack of spectacular schemes?

Ya know its one of my favorite plane, I never get to fly

never have gotten it to work

running Vista 64 and it always cashes when i chose a plane and well the support is slow if you get them to answer at all

I have a problem with my Safir for FSX.
Everything looks great when I select the plane. The plane start to load in the sim and the model appear for aprox 5 seconds, then it´s all gone and the engine start to missfire.
All I can see is the torso of the pilot and the navlight.
Does anyone have any solution for this?

Try changing your default flight, it could have saved settings that effect the Safir.
 
I also had this problem and corresponded with Sibwings support about it. They sent me a couple of new files but no luck, what solved my problem in the end was changing my graphics card to a new one. :ques:
 
This can happen with FSX when you do not have SP1 installed. Some people have this with Accelleration, but very few.


I had a similar experience with 'one' plane in my new planes (payware) collection (things I purchased from others) and it wasnt showing up. I was told I needed the SP1 download. I 'knew' I already had that. As it turned out, I was wrong. I had created a backup of my FS, reinstalled FS, and migrated the addons over from the old installation. I failed to integrate the SP1 pack. arrghh..

Change the graphic card. nop. I´ve got this card like 6 month ago. Using a ATI Radeon SAPPHIRE HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 memory.

I have installed SP1 and SP2. But I think it must be something like that anyway.

Reinstallation might do the trick then, we´ll see..........

Nevr had this problem this aircraft works brilliantly for me, I just came on this post to ask for more swiss repaints please!!
