I don't know if this is the right forum? please move if needed. I'm trying to publish my plane on Simmarket and they have asked me some bizarre questions... like "What is source of 3D model?" and "[FONT=Roboto, Arial, sans-serif]please explain the source files for the model" also they wanted a screen shot of the plane in 3ds max ? anyone had similar experiences with simmarket in particular? other vendors and very easy to deal with.

Thanks
Craig

They’re trying to ensure that a developer isn’t reselling a Turbosquid (or similar) sourced model either without permission, credit, and/or providing income to the model creator. I’d just say that the model is self produced from scratch and not sourced from a model repository.

Somebody uploaded a converted fsx carenado phenom 100 in the past .
Guess Carenado wasn't that pleased with that so i think that is what makes them extra carefull.

It's happened more than once.

Shortly after MSFS came out, there were a bunch of "shovelware" airplanes that were just ripped from other simulators or 3d models, converted to work in MSFS, and sold in Simmarket without things like working instruments or some basic exterior animations.

Most of those got pulled pretty quick, so I assume Simmarket learned their lesson and started screening stuff a bit better.
