Hi Simon,
Please go ahead and finish your leg.
You mentioned that you would be flying a DC Airways MAAM-SIM DC-3. If you are flying something else, please ignore these paragraphs.
Note that for our event, the maximum cargo payload for a DC-3 is 6,000 pounds. (This is the same for all models of the DC-3.) Also note that we all need to conform with the Maximum Takeoff Weight/Maximum Gross Weight on each flight.
The Maximum Takeoff Weight must accommodate the Empty Weight, the Cargo Weight, the Fuel on Board, plus two pilots weighing 340 pounds (together).
You might check your weights to be sure that you are in good shape. (The MAAM-SIM and the Default/Jahn and the Just Flight models all have different combinations of Empty Weight and Maximum Takeoff Weights, so all this may be irrelevant for you. In any case, you can check out the Tables in the Appendix to get the public figures.)
Whatever the case with this first leg, when you complete it you may credit it for the proper cargo delivery (6,000 for a DC-3). And then please check your weights for the subsequent flights.
Mainly, all good. And it is terrific to have you join the gang.
Hope this helps,
--Mike
