Looking good Tom!

The Wilga is a wild STOL plane. Always reminded me of a sort of Storch, but more modern.

I remember a Wilga for FS2004 with a horrendous cup size double D copilot..

Looking forward to this one (I hope it has normal proportions ;) )

Joe Binka's that'll be; IIRC there was a fix somewhere
that er, removed the co-pilot.......

Yup, Joe Binka's 'Wicked Wilga'! IIRC there was a conflict with a member leaving because of the double d's.

saw this one at a local airfair....talk to the owners wife...she knew nothing about it other than he hubby owned it and she hated to ride in it cause he liked to fly with the doors open in the summer...later that day i saw them walk past me and i stopped them..started askin questions about it..so we went over to the plane..the show was over..talked about 30 minutes...he says..you seems to know a bit about wilgas..then asked if we wanted a ride..i was all for it..but i was with my folks....my dad needed the restroom...wanted to go home....lol...and mom HATES planes and refused....i said ill find a way home...but alas....i got phillips'd once again

Heh...looks cool!

I love Binka's too (as for that conflict, my understanding is that the member who too issue with it was a known troublemaker...)

Ugly damn thing! One crashed by my house in 1989. Engine quit, down they came! Lucky they walked away without so much as a scratch!

I just stumbled onto Joe Binkas, Wicked Wilga while doing a search for VSTOL aircraft. Strange looking thing the Wilga, reminds me of a Dragon Fly in a way. Love the cargo :woot:

Nice Job on the Wilga Joe. I'll be flying this one some more.
...........

I notice that there was one being released by Tom / Simtech back in December 08. Is this still on the plate? I hope as freeware :jump:

Had a chance also to check out one up close at an airshow. "Interesting" design. :caked:

I bet it was interesting. Seeing the dang thing up close. They just look weird. Almost like it's going to jump off the ground like a grasshopper.

I never had any luck finding any repaints I liked. Has anyone done any here at SOH? If so I haven't found any. That red and white is a good choice of colors. Everything else I saw reminded me of Africa.

don't get what the issue with the co-pilot is . you'd think a double D passenger/copilot would be more enjoyable than the average passenger/copilot .
especialy since joe binka model is already excellent .
can't wait for this simtech one .

It was one of the very few female members we had.
