Simworks Phantom nose gear steering inop

Navy Chief

Senior Member
First I had problems with the MV nose gear steering. Thanks to fellow SOH members, I got that problem fixed. Now am having same problem with SWS Phantom. Any help? It will not turn, period. NC

that seems odd, mine steers using rudder pedals have you tried that? or do you have a twist stick?

Normally the NWS works with the rudder. I use pedals, not twisting X52 joystick, and settings in P3D reflect that.

I am going to leave well enough alone, as I will be doing a fresh install of FSX, P3D, and DCS next weekend, once my new system arrives.

Still, it is a puzzling problem, eh? Thanks all! NC

NC, I had the same problem, plus no flight controls. I reinstalled the Phantom, and now everything works.:dizzy:

Checks 4.0 on deck here in 4.2. I don't remember assigning a NWS command like other models on the SWS. I am going to have to re-read the fuel system again, 4.4 shown on gauge, then 2 eng. flame-out out of the break at KNKX as I dropped the gear. Thanks Tacpack for the smoking hole reminder after I re-spawn.

LOL, you need a dust off,:calm: btw, my NWS worked right out of the box ..no issues, sounds like when you do the new install it should fix it
