Volume 1 contains the Nimitz & Ike with their airwings. Volume 2 will contain CVN-70 through 72 and Volume 3 CVN-73 through 75. They will be stand-alone packages and are for the people that want to round out their collection or want specific ships from the class.

The ships cost as much as an aircraft because they were created with that kind of detail. Well, and the crew kind of felt so too...

Joking aside, the customer isn't buying one or two ships. He's the one who's looking for a high-detail ship with realistic behaviour, but is also interested in spending time ON the ship, not just fly around it.

These ships are the most accurate models currently available (including DCS), carefully crafted from the ship's fire extinguishers to the layout of the hangar. High quality models for aircraft, crew, vehicles and painting of the airwing to a similar standard are also a factor that attributes to the cost.

Our CEX tech allows you to place these ships without the need for third-party utilities while having pitching & rolling decks which aren't just "noise" but use real physics and weather data. An actual, real "ouija board" that you can play around with placing aircraft, crew & vehicles on deck whether to create a situation or just an interesting scene to walk into -the next picture with the 5-24 crew formation was possible because of this.

Realistically simulated approach lights which were improved upon from Midway class, AI that manages the ship lights, keeps track of the foul deck and maintains formation while performing standard/corpen turns, shore-based FLOLS at 19 N/MCAS and much more. In essence we're turning P3D into a mixture of flight & ship simulator.

All of that has been created in a way that allows me to run the Nimitz at near maxed settings at 45fps clean and around 30fps with 30-50 aircraft & crew on deck, which is good for such a nine-year old PC and a ship that weighs 1.6 million triangles without its airwing.

Therefore, I think that those that are interested carriers will get a feature-rich package is good in value and price. I definitely hope you guys think the same! :)

July 4th sale has started at FSPilotShop.
The usual stuff but I noticed that the SimWorks Studios - USS Nimitz was marked down from $56.99 to $39.89.
Similar savings on their F-4B and Midway packages.
:ernaehrung004:

I just had a look. PC Aviator has listed their July sales as well and SWS isn't participating.
:ernaehrung004:

Thx, pity :(. I'll think because I dont like FSPilotShop :/ , not guarantee for a downloadable file after the time expires ...

Never had an issue, actually haven't had to redownload, but what I've heard from others is that you just have to ask Adam Howe to extend the time and he adds a couple more years to it.

From what I just saw at SWS, you CAN purchase the Midway Package still for Eu45.00 compatible with FSX FSXSE and P3D V1-V4 and it is really impressive. Gotta rationalize the price for my budget, not that it is worth more from what I just finished watching and reading. Hope it stays there for awhile because as you say he has moved on to MSFS.

I have that package, it was about the Nimitz package.
