well im convinced,hes ok....:mushroom:....

even though im a Carl Edwards fan..and soon to be in Cup a Kyle Larson fan...

im going to have to pull for Jimmy Johnson to win two more,,i want to see it...

Hey All,

Actually Dave I think he and Chad want 3 more - that way Chad will have more Championships than Dale Inman who has 8 as I recall. That way both the driver and the crew chief will have more than anybody in Cup history.

Others feel differently...

So please JJ and Chad Knaus,
Just go away and stay out of my house!

Tell you what....
As good as Jimmie & Chad are, when I pull up out of Pit Lane and go up high for a Grand Stand view of things, Hendrick Motorsports has shown utter domination within the last 10yrs or so. Between their engines & drivers in the Chase, they are a Juggernaut! Since 1995 a Hendrick driver and/or engine has won 12 Cup Championships - those split between Gordon & Jimmie with Stewart being the lone "engine" win.

Hey All,

Actually 11 I think.

That said so what if Hendrick is a juggernaut? Wasn't Petty? I saw an article where Richard said - he'd be just another driver if it weren't for his equipment. So would most drivers - you don't have a car you don't win - ask Matt at Phoenix a week ago. How would Vettel do in a force india car? That said you still have to be a talented driver even if you have good equipment. So is it fair the very best talent probably never gets to drive the best cars? No but who said the world was fair? Winners write history - always have.

12 actually with Stewart's Hendrick powered championship.

Anyways, relax EasyEd, it was an observation, not a criticism :lemo:

Hey All,

Not bothered at all.

Lets see Johnson 6, Gordon 4, Stewart 1 ... so 6+4+1=11 championships not 12. Right?

Unless you count LaBonte but that is getting pretty old.

Did you see thr car control the last two races when he was sideways. True he has great equipment but also he's a hell of a driver. He also respected by the other drivers as someone special.

Hey All,

Yes Jimmie is that good.

I read an article where Jimmie pointed out the wind blowing between two grandstands was affecting his car. He is that "in tune." Even at that he is not especially knowledgeable in technical car details but Chad knows what he means when he says "whatever"... That communication is everything...

Yep, an amazing run this outfit has put together. I've been paying attention to NASCAR only since 2001. That's 13 seasons. Six of them have gone to the 48 team now. That's remarkable. He may yet get more than 7. And as one who usually finds one of the "old timers" to pull for, I might start keeping the sound on when JJ wins, since he's turning into one. Black-cowboy-hat-stud will surely become insufferable next year...

I will give the 48 team its credit, they work hard, they train hard, and they are very focused. Other teams need to step up to the challenge. Congratulations to Jimmie and the 48 team on their sixth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship.
