Size of uploaded pictures

Hi !

I´m planed to upload som pictures I take at swedish airforce museum (Flygvapenmuseum) after the museum have reopened.

What size I have to chose per pictures, and in what forum I have to put it ?

The pictures is crop to size 1024x780 ca: 100kb eatch.

Upload them to a free image hosting site eg. http://www.flickr.com/ , http://imageshack.us/ , http://photobucket.com/ or my host of choice, www.Pix.ie and link them to here. Sizes will be fine with the crop you have.

By using Kilo Delta's suggestion, you can avoid the attachment storage limit of 10 Megs and is probably the best way to do it.

I don't maintain a seperate storage site like that so I normally size my attachments to 800 X 600 and save at 80%. I then attach them directly to my post. Every few months I go to my "Settings" and delete the older ones to free up more space on my account.

For nice pictures from the museum, 1024 might be the best size as the whole picture will still show up on most computer screens.

When you go to "Reply to Thread" and scroll down to "Manage Attachments" it will show you the dimensions and file size limits for attached files.
As it stands now it is 1280x768 and 976Kb for all the typical picture formats.

Larger is often seen as better, but unless the image is high res and/or detailed something smaller is fine (people can always request a larger image if they need it for reference) so save the original full-size ones.

I have crop the pic to 800x600, use Photoshop.

Pictures swedish air force museum

I´m glad you like them.

Now_little history of the aircraft in queston.

The Ask-Nyrop No.3 have a Gnôme rotary engine 50Hp. Built 1911. The first military aircraft to be built in Sweden. And is a Bleriot XXI copy.

The Breguet B1 have Salmon Canton-Unné "Radial" engine 85Hp / 1200 rpm, and vattercooled. The aircraft vas bought from France 1912 together with a Nieuport G.4, named M1 (B1 stod for Biplane No.1 & M1 for Monoplane No1).

I´m uploade som more pictures from "Flygvapenmuseum" with random history.

1) J 1 Phönix 122. Licens built by CVM (Central factory Malmslätt) from Phönix Werke Austria. In service 1919 - 1930, Flygkompaniet (Flight Company) a forerunner of Royal Swedish Air Force .


2) Sk 1 Albatros 120. Built built by CVM and Södertälje Factory. In service Flygkompaniet 1920 - 1929.


3) S 6 Fokker CVE. In service 1927 - 1941 Royal Swedish Air Force.


4) Sk10 Tiger Schwalbe. Licens built by ASJA (Swedish Railroad Factory Aeroplan Department) In service 1939 - 1942, Royal Swedish Air Force.


5) J 8 Gloster Gladiator in color of F19 swedish volunter corps. Finnish winter war, 1939 - 1940. Othervise in service 1937 - 1942, Royal Swedish Air Force.


'Abrevation':

J stands for Jakt (Pursuit).

Sk stands for Training.

S stands fo Spaning (Recon).
