Hi All,

Well I've been gluttonously devouring all the great add ons that everyone has been working on recently. Never been one to take and take without reciprocating but I have limited time and not the skills!

So I thought, Is there a plane where any skins could be a bonus? And decided that the Padbury Defiant would be worth a shot as I can't find any alternative skins for it and whilst the paints it come with are grand, these days everyone seems to use duller and more matt colours.

So I've done some work, Nearly have the basic paint set up. Next will be balancing the opacity of lines and rivets. Doing some weathering and then on to markings.

I'm no Morton, but as the plane is generally used for AI (Would love to use it more first hand but its just not the same not being able to move the turret!) it should look fair enough.

Any suggestions or requests, crack on!

Ian,

I am all for some skins for this model...and you do use it in the Battle of Britain and in Chianti Raiders. I would like to do some British nightfighter missions one of these days...after I finish up a slew of other projects.

How are you as regards reference material Ian?
I can the recommend Wings Palette profiles, most of them I scanned and sent into the site as their data was lacking for this and several of the lesser RAF types.
 
Atm I'm just getting the basics in place so I haven't done much in the way of research. I'll certainly drop by the Wings Pallette site, thanks for the heads up!

Thanks Rami, If you have any requests for BOB squadrons or upcoming nightfighter squadrons just let me know. Now I have the templates set up it won't be much trouble to do any required!

Top man Ian, well done on identifying a most suitable case for addons. I have often thought this A/C deserves more attention than it has received and I thank you very much for your time & skill in redressing the balance. Wish I could do it myself, but....
