Skins issue

Aussie Pilot

I need more ammo
Guy's I'm having a skins issue. I haven't seen anything written anywhere as yet or either i missed but.

At present I have started a campaign with the 4 AFC on the 19-1-1918 flying a Sopwith Camel from the Bruay airfield.

Every time i chose a mission to fly from within in the briefing room i get a window come up, (in short) saying something like the skins for an aircraft can't be found and will have to use default. So i hit OK and then another window pops up for the next aircraft and so it goes until i get through all the windows and can then go fly.
So far i have flown 4 missions and this has happened every time.

I haven't flown any other missions with a different squad yet to so if it happens there or not, i haven't had time.

I have checked my skins folder though and there are skins in there.

Any ideas, have i missed something written about this somewhere?

OK i chose another flight and got it all over again. This time i got a screen shot.
I'll look into that cowman but what happens with the skins it says is required?

You say you have the actual files, where they're supposed to be, but might they be corrupted?

Hello

First of all it says non critical error - there are 1000s of skins in OFF and 1000s still required - they are not all in yet - maybe never will be but no matter!

OFF shipped with 3000 I think.... we need probably 10 000....

To get rid of this Warning - simply go to workshops and under campaign (central column) set Database Warnings to off!!

Finally to ensure that you did install the skins - they are optional - navigate to \CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields\campaigns\CampaignData\Skins

and look - you should have about 3226 files - yes OFF has 3226 unique skins so far.

Arr Thankyou Winder,

I looked at the skins folder again and yes they are all there. I can't believe you guys made so many skins, that must have taken ages.

Thanks again for your efforts and the info.

Ill do as you say (same as Cowman said) and turn off the warnings.

Aussie,

Hopefully someday we'll make them all... LOL!!

Hey, can I borrow that P-39 Aircobra your sitting in? I have a few houses on my block I'd like to strafe the s*#t out of.

All the best,

Thats a lot of work those skins.

If your refering to my avtar it is a MK1 spitfire i got to sit in at the Biggin Hill air show one year.
My signature pic is a P40E. Either way i'll have them armed and fueled then get someone to ferry them over to you. Would you like the optional 500 pounder as well...lol.

Whoops... sorry... I was looking at the pilot 'door' and thinking P-39... I forgot the Spitfire had the same thing. I think the P-39 door was bigger now that I think of it. ;)

Yes.. the 500 pounder will do nicely as a 'finishing' product. Please rush it over, it looks like more 'friends' have moved in along with the 10 or so that are living there already. LOL!
