Skippy goes south

Due to various minor administrative delays my departure has had to be delayed until the evening of the 25th.
Although not keen to encounter the Alps by night I fear the currently 'favourable' meteorological situation over Europe may deteriorate over the next few days.
Consequently I shall endeavour to complete my first leg forthwith in the Percival Mew Gull, weather information supplied by Messrs Active Sky Next for P3D. Next stop LGTT, or a French mountain side...

You'll note the slight dog leg over Turkey where I misidentified a lake and went on a bit of a sight seeing trip...

Iraq meanwhile was a barren featureless desert, which is a bit tricky when you're navigating by clock and map!

Almost forgot!

After several days enjoying the sights of Baghdad and conducting some business on the side, I must depart with some haste to Persia and the airport at Jask in the Gulf of Oman.

You're really entering into the spirit of things. Where did you get maps with Persia on them? :encouragement:

Before departing Jask for Allahabad I've managed to obtain some photographs from some of the reporters in the region. The first appears to be flying over the mountains of Persia, fortunately I found a way through that kept me below 12000'. The second is on approach to Jask where the haze from the sea reduced visibility but with the airfield positioned on the edge of the peninsula just coming into view it was easy to map crawl my way down.

I depart forthwith for India and hope to be in Allahabad by sun fall...

I have no idea where this was, except I was about 20 miles south of track until 50 miles out from Alallahabad when I picked up the river and this was several hours before that!

Shortly to depart the Raj for Rangoon, Burma.
