Skysim support?

Anyone have any exoperience with SKYSIM? I bought the Hawk today but because of their complex activation process I have not been able to fly it at all. Been almost a whole day.
 
Also, where can the additions models for the plane be found? I looked at AVSIM as was noted on the ent but.....no joy.

Alternatively try classis british flight sim and PM Rick Piper or PM Rick Piper here at SoH, he's the author and builder, he'll put you straight in a jiffy.

The authentication is pretty water tight but has led to problems for some, but the guys are pretty quick at helping people out.

Don't know about the additional models though, didnt think there were any ?, dont recall those whilst it was WIP at Skysim whilst I was there, I could be completely wrong though.

I remember reading here about some issues between Rick and Skysim...he mentioned at one point that he considered releasing the Hawk as freeware?

I have no idea what has happened with Skysim support
(ie : nobody has been activating it for ages as i have been getting the support requests )
anyone needing support for the Hawk T1 package is welcome to send me a PM or e mail me direct.
I do not have any contact with Skysim and i am not connected with Skysim and have not been for almost 2 years.

If your stuck with the Hawk i will support you if i can.

Purely for interest's sake, I reinstalled the Hawk and sent an activation e-mail in April, which Gordon responded to a little over 24hrs later with an activation code. Someone does still look... or did about eight weeks ago.

Thats good news mate.

been getting many support requests direct to me all saying activation no reply for about 4 months now so assumed support was gone.

I am always around but may not get on here every day but will sort anyone who can't get a reasonable reply time.

I love that Hawk - i must re-install it - its a great product. :salute:
 
to me it looks like a "shadowing" issue if that possible.....lighting? has something to do with the paint file though.
 
Ah ha, got it fixed must have deleted a spec file or something!

Hi Pete

I have only seen problems like that when the bump map is in the wrong format or missing

or you don't have SP2 installed

most likely the first (check the texture.cfg in the new liveries)

thanks for the help Rick, I think its because I converted the textures including the bump maps to 1024 size to help frames but it had that side effect!
