Slight frame hiccups problem

trek

Members +
I'm experiencing some frame-rate hiccups every three seconds or so. Usually happens when in a Dogfight and doing turns and dives, etc.
I checked and this doesn't occur in CFS3. I'm using an ATI Radeon 4850 GC, Intel 3.16Ghz chip, 4MB ram. I've played around a little with the graphics settings in the config and haven't noticed much difference. I've also read the other posts on this forum about high settings across the board as well. Tried those and it seemed to be worse. Does anyone have any suggestions that I haven't thought about? BTW, OFF is freaking awesome and beautiful to look at!! I can live with the slight frame misses but it is a little annoying in dogfights.

When flying, hit the Z key and see what your frame rates are. Turn the sliders back a bit, and make sure the screen rez is high. There are more things to check/uncheck as mentioned in the stickies and other system threads in the last week.

Ohhh thats why...I am sorry to say mate but...almost everyone who use ATI cards with OFF got graphic probs. I hve an HD 4670 and have much much trouble
But check post #9 here as well Click me..
Also make sure you have locked your fps to 30 or something..
check my post (#5) HERE.
Maybe this will help a little..

Thanks guys, for the quick response. I had a feeling it was the ATI Card. I've already copied that info you posted on the other thread. I will implement these fixes and see if they work. Good people on this forum, I'm glad to be aboard!
