Small BoB Spitfire pack problem

First I must say the Spitfire pack is fantastic!!:ernae:

The only problem I have is the Mirror it only shows up as a grey rectangle, no images at all. I have "Reflections" checked in display options so what could be wrong?

:wavey:When in the cockpit the mirror does,nt show any reflections, you have to cycle the views F6, then you can see whats on your 6. Hope this helps.

Hi Wildfowler,

This is strange, I have just checked my install and compared the files uploaded to the the AussieX site to make sure there was no mistake with files uploads. everything checked out the files on the upload site is as it should be.

I then checked in game, and low and behold I had no mirror image on the rear view mirror. I then left the game and restarted and the mirror texture was there again.

I have since flown about 2hrs worth of testing and each time I have tried the spitfire the mirror textures are as they should be.

I have been speaking with one of the test guys tonight and he states that his mirror texture takes a second or two to appear when he starts flying the spits.

The texture format for the image being used is in DXT5 (1024 x 1024) which is a little bit differant to the file format mostly used DXT1.

it maybe the video card is finding it hard to render this image. please try flying the spits and stay in them for a few minutes swapping views etc and report back if you have any luck.

if needed I'll email you a reduced size texture sheet in DXT1 (512 x 512) and see if that helps.

If it does help I'll upload this as an option for others who may be having trouble as well.

The textures are all DXT5 as far as I can remember so I wonder if this could be a vid card issue. Have you run the config file recently WF and checked the override settings? I've not seen this problem at all.
 
IM A groupie simmer, in here .. have nothing to do with creation or development ...ive done all the downloads for the battle of britain - missions , planes ships , cockpits the recent revised verison and woirks well for me off f6....

so heres my point ... if i can get it right , then its gotta be someones computer ...lol
