Small plane with 4 on board missing in Alaska

I really could post a pic and a line but I'm afrad it would fall in the "too soon" category about this. So I'll just have to quote C9G....

Oh no!

That's not good at all! I hope and pray they are safe & sound!

Sorry to hear.

Nothing but massive mountains and endless forest there. I hope they made it down safe.

My mothers flight instructor told her once, that if she has to land in a forest, forced landing, to aim between the trees. Knocking off the wings slows you down.

It has been a tough summer for aviation in Alaska. I have lost count of the number of crashes, and I don't want to count the deaths (fewer thankfully). There was another crash (all survived) Friday near Homer.

The weather around King Salmon has been bad for a while. A student I know has been trying to complete a long cross country, but was blocked by the weather all last week.
