I got dragged to the Smithsonian this weekend by my brother and sister inlaw, well I'll admit it didn't take a lot of dragging, but I had a great time and took a few photos of what was there and thought I would share them with everyone.
That's right, shes the real McCoy. I got lost in that place and did not want to leave until I realized it was time to go see Pappy's grave, that was the highlight of my day. I filled up 4, 4 gb cards in my cam.
The Albatross wasn't there at all in January when I went so it may be that they haven't finished installing it yet. regarding exhibit changes, my january trip was my first one there since 1977 when I first visited and I would estimate 60 percent of the displays are untouched since then and most of the changes were to make the museum more "touchy feely" and with less actual material on display
I've been there a few times myself and yes, the main exhibits do not change -- I'm referring to the ones that hang -- but they do occasionally change some of the floor exhibits, as well as the contents of the cases.
Great shots Amigo it's been about 6 years since I have been there but what a great way to spend a day!!! Gotta go back next time Donna and I go back to her home in Virginia. Thanks for sharing Chris.

Ted
This one is still on my "bucket list" and every time I see someone's pictures or see it on TV I am laying out a flight plan to combine the visit with a nice long cross country
And then the boss scratches my vacation request or tells me I can only have half the time I wanted and I put it off for a while again.:salute:
