    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Snow Leopard loading question

Hey all,

This is a question for the Apple gurus.

I went to load Snow Leopard onto my mothers Apple Mac Mini. Took hours (from 6:30 till 2:30AM) and it was still rebooting and working. I am thinking the DVD is going out. I finally halted it by holding the eject button and ejecting the disc and the system booted up normally.

I am just curious what to look for if its now Snow Leopard?

I might price a new optical drive later today. This little thing makes a ton of noise when its reading a disc.


Wild to work on it. Its like a big watch, lol....
