Probably needs some editing of contact points in the aircraft.cfg.
You may need to add contact point in the back of the float, not edit some line. See this for help:I thought as much but which line and which numbers and how much? Been trying trial and error, no success.
Based on our conversations regarding this in another forum and taking a hard look at your screen shot it appears the problem may not be with the contact points of the several aircraft you have tried but with the catapult itself. You have moved the vessel from Long Beach elsewhere (which you should be able to do)and it looks like the catapult invisible platform is missing. The platform is part of the .mdl file so it should move with the vessel. BTW, the SOC you show in the screenshot is not FSX native and I am not sure it will work in the FSX carrier ops scheme of things. Try reinstalling the USS Idaho fresh at it's original location and see what happens. Please use the FSX version of the SOC-3 for this test. I gave you the file names for 3 aircraft that do work with this catapult in the other forum.
Best, Paul
Example: point.3=4, -6.5, 5.1, -6.29,
4, denotes float
-6.5, is the longitudinal offset(fore/aft)
5.1, is the lateral offset(R/L)
-6.29, is the vertical offset(up/down)
The vertical offset on the farthest aft pair of points needs to be more negative.
From your screenie it looks to be about 2 feet. That should help if the longitudinal offset points are positioned near the rear of the float
If the longitudinal offset is small, it will be more sensitive, so, use less vertical change.
Pain to T&E, but, that's the only way I know...Don
I believe I'm about to get it. Thanks. 4 denotes floats. Other numbers 1,2,3, ect stand for like landing gear right?
