Some FSD News

Hey Guys,

We had a big meeting today with all of the FSD members on a conference call. To me it was pretty amazing to be talking with people from around the world all at once!

One of the many topics we discussed was the issue of creating versions of a given model for FS9 & FSX. As of this writing, can tell you that the current plan is to release FS9 versions of the JetStar & MU-2. There is no definite release time line, but now the work is going to be shared between 3 modelers as opposed to the single modeler that was grunting out the work before in his spare time.

There were many other things discussed, and over time those things will become known. We are trying to focus on the future...it will be good :)

Good to hear Robert that you guys are still developing for FS9.

I myself, as a sim pilot, (not as a dev), I do alot of flying in FS9 and having those to planes two fly in it will be awesome.

I hope they get done soon. :d I can hardly wait to take them up.

The JetStar?? :faint: I had pretty much given up on ever seeing that bird. Thanks for sharing the great news with us. :applause:

Thank you FSD......as I've stated before, I have zero interest in FSX and frankly, as a dwindle down to the last of the FS9 variants you offer I would have been a lost customer. I just purchased one of the PC-6's and will most likely purchase the other 2 in time but the JETSTAR was always one I wanted and will for sure buy if done in FS9, and probably even the MU-2.

well this is the best news i have heard this year..!!! the jetstar has always been a favorite..thanks FSD..

That is great news! I had been looking forward to the Jetstar and the MU-2, but was informed that all new FSD products would be FSX only. It is interesting to see how many developers have decided to keep supporting FS9 - now five years old.

. . .was almost starting to give up on the MU-2 . can't wait for it to be available .
Remember folks, Robert said there "is no definite time line". After two years of being "on the drawing board" at FSD this is a step in the right direction, but let's not count our Moo 2's until they're hatched.

Now entering the VJPL one Jetstar, as Robert was saying the team approach be will used and allow for a higher level of productivity, the talents / speciality of each member as well as the different tools at our disposal for texture baking and gauge graphics production in 3ds permit FSD to go stratospheric.

We have come to realize that a very large percentage of our customer base are FS 9 users. I still fly it myself, as a lot of my favorite addons do not work well in FS X. The Jetstar and MU 2 will most definately be released in both FS 9 and FS X versions.

Also, we will be releasing version 3 of our very popular Navajo, again for both FS 9 and FS X. It will have a lot of improvements and features.

Awesome to hear Tim!

:ernae:

I still fly FS9 myself. I am really looking forward to these planes, especially the Mu-2.
