  • Special Server Maintenance

Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Still a fair bit to do, but these screenshots depict Lockheed A-12 06937 during operation 'Blackshield' during the Vietnam war.

Oh boy! :redfire:
This is one lovely piece of news! Keep on the good work!
From what I've just read on your forum, you also did the SR-71 for FSX with the RSO scope. Do you plan to include a functional driftsight in the Cygnus VC?

You've made my day!

Cheers!

Looks great! I'm very keen on this one. Fabulous work! Now we just need an area 51 scenery that is worth its salt. I wish we could get something as good as Google Earth with 3d buildings enabled....that would be infinitely better than what is available now.

Hi,

It's a possibility, however, it would likely be a rather simple representation - the viewsight in the virtual cockpit would be non-functional - unless I use a basic moving map display, but that wouldn't look as nice as seeing the actual ground scenery through it.....

David.
