Gents, I have done repainted default textures for A. F. Scrub's Fw-44, but I am puzzled as to what exactly the top color should be. Mr. Scrub used a profile scan to paint the texture and I can find no RLM color that comes close, especially for the time frame. The lower color I used was RLM65 Light Blue using the HEX code from Simmer's Paint Shop's swathes. For the lack of a good matching upper color, I used old US Navy Blue-Gray here.
I recolored the exhaust color using an inlay of an actual copper photo, then a dark transparent layer of Vermilion Green.
A new Squadron Insignia was done in vector graphics and all National Insignia and Codes were replaced. I used Middle Script for Luftwaffe Font (available at Simmers Paint Shot under downloads).
New former lines were made, then given an outer bevel and contour in the soft circle form. This was given a 10% transparency. Wings and fuselage received new gradients, which are set at 30% transparency.
When a final color is decided on, I shall upload the textures. So the quicker somebody comes up with the 411, the quicker you get to have them! :ernae:
