Some shots from yesterday's rally.

Nice short rally event in my hometown on old military terrain; two short and twisty stages, both run four times. 54 cars on the start list, only 32 made it to the finish! Favorite and winner of the event was Dennis Kuipers, the first Dutchman to drive in the WRC in a factory Ford Fiesta WRC. He brought his Fiesta S2000 to this event. A few Subaru's and Mitsubishi Evo's on the list as well, including one former Ralliart Works car.

Hey All,

Nice pics Ferry! :applause: What is the car in the 8th pic down second post - looks like a gremlin but I know it isn't.

-Ed-

Thanks Ed!

The car is a Peugeot 205 GTI, quite a popular 'hot hatch' back in the late eighties/late nineties and a cheap car to use for a rally these days.

Looks like an interesting venue, and well shot Ferry.
:applause:
Some 'vintage' machinery competing as well.
Love the Citroen, just totally mean!!
The Lancer wearing 'Mar-boro' sponsorship gave me a chuckle.

Thanks Wombat!

That Citroen was a fun car to watch; only a 1.6 liter engine but 225 bhp and with it's small size ideal for the short stages. It finished in third behind the S2000 Fiesta and the Impreza from the same team, despite several flat tires and a broken gear shifter! It finished ahead of eight or nine Mitsubishi Evo's and another Impreza. Also one of the loudest cars on track.
