Something weird...

I was renaming some planes in my install, I went to desktop and both my shortcuts to CFS were renamed PBY Catalina(how did that happen?) .I renamed the one back to Combat Flight Simulator 2, which works fine and takes me to the game. The other is dead, says location not found(it was the MB shortcut), wont let me rename it, delete it even. The MB is no where to be found, even in my root folder. Really want to loose my current install, just got it back to where needs to be.Would a "reinstall" work or would it overwrite my current game? Anyone have the MB to send as a stand alone? if that is possible.

Editng short cuts is simple. Your install should be fine.

The stock MB set up is "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 2\cfs2.exe" /BUILDER: in the target box.

Start in box: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 2\cfs2.exe" /BUILDER:

Comment box: Combat Flight Simulator 2 Mission Builder

the address may need to be edited or just make a new short cut to your install's CFS2.exe and name it Mission Builder and in the target box add the /BUILDER: to the end.

Thanks.Did not work but I did a reinstall and it salvaged nearly everything, just have to reinstall the stock OH planes and the scenery, pain but better than losing everything like all the objects etc.

I don't know how change a short could delete everything...

The address I gave are for Win XP and likely Vista. Win7 will add in some junk to the Program Files part.

I'm not sure what happened, but the shortcut to MB no longer worked. Both were somehow renamed and icon changed. I tried your solution but didn't work. I did a reinstall instead of uninstall. Kept most everything except stock planes and scenery came back . had most everything backed up such as airbases, callsign, etc saved me a lot of trouble. I need to figure out the multi install so can run pto eto etc on same pc
