When we get upload privileges again, I have some paints for the recent Aeroplane Heaven freeware release of the FS9 Fokker Eindecker series. All of the default textures have been reworked, as well as adding three new paints. I have a Paint Kit that I shall send up also for you folks that like to play with these old crates.

Caz, very nice paint jobs. Just curious about the Brit paint, did you come up with a photo/drawing of an actual captured aircraft or is it just a bit of artistic license?

Some of both TARPS. It is real, it is in correct markings. It is too clean. It should have wire wheels, as the metal wheel covers were removed. I tried using Mike Wilson's technique to make wire wheels, but the AH model reads the Alpha of black on black as bright chrome and it does not become invisible as on other aircraft I have done. Ergo, back with the doped linen painted covers.

The aircraft was captured intact on April 8, 1916, when its pilot made an unscheduled forced landing behind enemy lines. 210/16 was in natural doped linen finish and had standard factory markings. It was shipped back to England, where the British painted roundels over the crosses on the wings and fuselage and rudder stripes over the crosses on the rudder. The gun was left intact and it was used for evaluation at the British Upavon facility.

I would show you a b&w photo and the profile, but it is from a Windsock DATAFILE and Ray Rimell is most highly remiss when his work is scanned and shown on the web.
